Precision Medicine off the beaten track

As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, Thomas’ research focuses on methods around single-cell transcriptome sequencing and generating new methods to combine and analyse high throughput biological data. He completed his Master in Computer Science at Lübeck University in 2002 and his PhD in Molecular Biology and Cell Biology at Fondação Oswaldo Cruz in 2008. He was a Senior Staff member in the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where he and his team developed tools such as PAGIT, iCORN, and Companion.
