Open Source Software, Communities, and Precision Medicine: talking about the squishy parts

As a Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado and Rifkin Chair of Cancer Informatics, Sean’s focus is to develop and apply data science and AI methods for biomedical research in an effort to advance research and improve clinical practice. He has developed several bioinformatics tools including GEOquery and GenomicSuperSignature. Sean completed his BSc in mechanical and aerospace engineering at Princeton, PhD in human genetics and MD at the University of Pittsburgh.
