WikiPathways – an open, collaborative knowledgebase for molecular pathway models to study disease mechanisms

In her current position as Assistant Professor at Maastricht University, Martina is working on network and pathway-based integrative systems biology approaches and applies them to research projects related to immunology and chronic diseases. She completed her MSc in Bio- and Medical Informatics at the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg in 2010 and her PhD in Managing biological knowledge in pathways and networks at Department of Bioinformatics (BiGCaT) at Maastricht University in 2015. She currently holds shared appointment at the Department of Bioinformatics (BiGCaT) and the Maastricht Centre for Systems Biology (MaCSBio) at Maastricht University.
