Joseph Lehar (Panel Chair)

As an innovator and executive, Joseph is focused on using data and digital technologies to transform health care. He has built computational biology teams at Google, Novartis and CombinatoRx, and drove scientific projects at Johnson & Johnson as Director of Data Science. He completed his BA in Physics at Brandeis University and PhD in Physics/Astrophysics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

 
 

Nathan McNally

Nathan is the Scale up Coach and Mentor Manager at Capital Enterprise and Co-Founder/COO/Programme Director of P4 Precision Medicine Accelerator. His focus is to connect sector ecosystems to provide support to start-ups, and has facilitated the support of over 1000 scale-up companies across many industries. He completed his BA in Digital Animation at Thames Valley University in 2009.

 
 

Matt Krisiloff

Matt is CEO at Conception, a company which is working to turn stem cells into eggs, and is a founder of SciFounders. Previously, he was the director of Y Combinator Research, the research non-profit of Y Combinator. He was also a founding team member of OpenAI, and has worked with over 150 startups as both an investor and advisor.

 
 

Peter Crane

Peter is a Venture Investor at Outsized Ventures, a late-seed investment company focused on supporting entrepreneurs across therapeutic biotech, diagnostics, health-tech, agri/food, life-sciences tools, and frontier technologies. His professional background spans across many fields, including business development, chemistry, drug discovery and synthetic biology. He completed his MS in Chemistry at the University of Warwick and his PhD in Chemical Biology at Oxford University.

 
 

Gwen Cheni

Gwen is a Partner at IndieBio NY, advising and investing in companies at all stages of growth. Even before officially joining SOSV, Gwen was an active investor in IndieBio companies, including Tinctorium Bio/Huue, Lupa Bio/Intrinsic Medicine, and SyntheX. She received her bachelor’s degree from Yale in math/economics with a minor in computer science electrical engineering and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.
